Bryan McCurrach was a talented artist who worked in the late 1960's.
He was taught by Hone and Pine Taiapa, the later who supervised the building of the carved house at Waitangi.
He used portraits by Lindauer and Goldie for his kauri heads and carved his figures in totara.
